Now anyone who knows of Ellinost knows that its sewers are home to the rogues. And Lucians family was no different. So from an early age the Boy who would become the greatest of Bards was taught to swindle and steal.To become one with the shadows, so that he could dissappear almost anywhere, a trait that would later save him many times. But even at an early age they knew he was different. Though his nimble fingers quickly made him one of the best pickpockets in Ellinost, he perfered to tell stories to people in exchange for coin. Though he easily blended into the shadows, he perfered the light. This was a cause of distress to his family who thought there no way out of the life they were raised in. Well one day young Lucian snuck away from the sewers, as was his habit, to see the entertainers that travelled about. He slid silently into a tavern to watch someone who he had not seen before. The man held a lute, and so sweet was the sound that it awakened something deep within the soul of the bard to be. When the entertainer was done he set his lute aside to get a drink. Seizing the opportunity the bard stole the lute and retreated to the sewers. The owner of the lute tracked him there, but when he arrived the boy was playing the lute, so soft and sweet was the melody that the man would not dare to take the lute back. His only words to the bard to be were "Her name is M'lady, treat her well, and she will reply in kind" The man turned to leave, and so began the life of the Bard...
